The official hunting season has opened in Azerbaijan today, following a decision by the Coordinating Council on Hunting Affairs, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources announced.
According to Arzu Babayeva, representative of the Biodiversity Protection Service, the season will remain open until December 1, with authorities continuing to monitor environmental conditions throughout the period.
“The decision was made to open the hunting season until December 1 and to continue monitoring natural processes. Depending on the results, the duration may be reviewed,” Babayeva said.
She added that detailed information on hunting rules, permitted species, and quotas is available in the “Announcements” section of the ministry’s official website.
The ministry called on citizens to strictly follow hunting regulations and avoid any cases of illegal hunting, warning that violations will be subject to administrative and criminal penalties.
