Houses Demolished Without Permission in Baku – Residents Left Inside

In the Nasimi district of Baku, in an area known as “Kubinka,” scandalous demolition works continue despite people still living in the houses.

According to Khazar TV, residents of Agadadasha Gurbanov Street have claimed that the construction company is ignoring official documents and demolishing the buildings both during the day and at night, putting the lives of dozens of families at risk.

According to eyewitnesses, more than 80 families currently reside on the site, and despite their appeals to relevant state authorities, the company continues its demolition work. The citizens assert that they did not receive prior notifications or approvals, nor have they reached agreements regarding compensation or relocation.

In response to the citizens’ appeals, the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan stated that the Baku City Main Architecture and Urban Planning Department conducted an inspection of the plot allocated to the Vialon company and confirmed that demolition works were being carried out without the proper permits. As a result, the company received an official warning, and all work was suspended.

It is noted that Vialon had previously attempted to carry out similar actions on this site without permits, and these attempts were thwarted. To prevent further violations, official appeals and letters have been sent to relevant government structures demanding stricter control over the situation.
