Azerbaijani judoka Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg) has moved up to second place in the world rankings, while Hidayat Heydarov has dropped five places.
According to Oxu.az, Hajiyev, who recently won a silver medal at the Universiade and bronze at the World Championships, is only behind Japan’s Sanshiro Murao in the rankings.
Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg), the Olympic champion, has lost his top position in the world rankings and has fallen to sixth place.
The other Paris 2024 winner, Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg), is currently in third place. Zelim Tchkaev (81 kg) holds second place.
Balabay Agayev (60 kg) is in ninth, Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg) is in tenth, and Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg) is ranked within the top 16.
