Heavy Loss for Azerbaijan U-17s Against Israel in France

Azerbaijan’s U-17 national football team suffered a heavy 1–5 defeat against Israel in their second qualifying match for the 2025 UEFA European Championship.

The match, played in France, saw Israel take the lead in the 39th minute through Tamir Bar. Azerbaijan responded just before halftime, with Samir Sharifov equalizing in stoppage time to make it 1–1.

However, the second half turned one-sided. Bar scored his second in the 47th minute, restoring Israel’s advantage. Despite a missed penalty by Liam Luski in the 71st minute, Israel extended their lead through Adam Grimberg (83’), Eretz Didi (90’), and Ben Suarez (90+4’).
