August 3 – Terter, Azerbaijan
A man opened fire with an AK-74 rifle in the Terter district of Azerbaijan on the evening of August 3, prompting swift police intervention. The incident, which occurred around 10:00 PM, was reportedly triggered by a personal dispute.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the suspect—identified as 33-year-old Beyrek Guliyev, a resident of a local village and veteran of the Second Karabakh War—allegedly fired at a fellow villager born in 1992. While no one was injured in the shooting, a VAZ-21014 vehicle belonging to the targeted individual was damaged.
Guliyev was apprehended by local police and an AK-74 assault rifle was seized from him. Authorities have launched a criminal investigation into the case.
The ministry also revealed that Guliyev has a criminal history, having previously served time for various offenses. He is now under arrest as the investigation continues.
