Baku, August 7 – Azerbaijani club Gabala FK has strengthened its midfield with the signing of Spanish player Jaime Sierra, a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy.
According to Apasport.az, the 27-year-old defensive midfielder has agreed to a two-year contract with the club. Sierra is expected to arrive in Azerbaijan from Croatia later today to finalize the deal.
Sierra began his career at Real Madrid before going on to play for Spanish sides Logroñés, Cultural Leonesa, and Atlético Baleares, as well as Belgian club Deinze. Most recently, he was under contract with Croatian club Varaždin, where his current deal runs until December 31, 2026.
