Foreign Investment in Azerbaijan Surges 42% to Nearly 3 Billion Manats

Foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s economy totaled 2.91 billion manats in January-September 2025, marking a 42.4% increase compared to the same period last year, according to data from the State Statistics Committee.

The largest investors included the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Russia, the United States, Switzerland, Japan, Iran, Hungary, France, and India.

Overall, investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital – across both public and private sources – amounted to 13.05 billion manats, up 1% year-on-year.

Of this total, 3.67 billion manats were directed to the oil and gas sector, while 9.38 billion manats went to non-oil and gas industries, reflecting the country’s ongoing diversification strategy.
