Five Azerbaijani servicemen were injured on Monday when their military vehicle struck an anti-tank mine in the Kalbajar region.
According to Unikal, the incident occurred near the village of Vang, where a Ural military truck belonging to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces hit the mine.
The injured soldiers have been identified as 29-year-old N. Nuruyev, 29-year-old M. Garayev, 42-year-old R. Ismayilov, and 38-year-old E. Ahmadov.
All were transported to a nearby military hospital and given immediate medical attention. Their conditions are reported as moderately serious.
Personnel from relevant agencies have been dispatched to the site, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
Mine contamination remains a serious security challenge in territories liberated during the 2020 Karabakh war and subsequent operations, with both military personnel and civilians continuing to suffer casualties.
