Azerbaijan has recorded a dramatic surge in domestic laptop production, increasing output 15.6 times in January-October 2025 compared to the same period last year.
According to official statistics, the country produced 25,463 laptops during the 10-month period, marking one of the strongest growth indicators in the electronics sector.
Overall production of computers, electronic and optical products, and electrical equipment reached 253.4 million manats. Output of computers and electronic/optical products grew by 98.4%, while electrical equipment production declined by 11.6%.
Desktop computer manufacturing also saw significant expansion, rising 2.7 times to 2,847 units. Production of measuring instruments reached 394,500 units, a slight increase of 0.8% year-on-year.
In the electrical equipment segment, cable production climbed 15.7%, totaling 10,383 tons. Manufacturing of household refrigerators and freezers rose 15.5%, reaching 836 units.
However, several categories posted sharp declines. Output of electrical control devices dropped 20% to 3,386 units, while production of power transformers fell 71.1% to 239 units.
The data highlights a clear pivot toward electronics and computing technology, with laptop manufacturing leading Azerbaijan’s industrial growth trajectory in 2025.
