Ecuador has appointed Pedro José Vintimilla Vega as its new ambassador to Azerbaijan, with residence in Ankara, the Ecuadorian Embassy in Turkey confirmed.
On October 22, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Turkey Rashad Mammadov received the Ecuadorian envoy at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ankara. The two diplomats discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation between their countries.
Ambassador Vintimilla Vega previously presented his credentials to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in May 2025.
