BAKU, Sept. 30, 2025
Brazilian meat is set to return to Azerbaijan’s market after Baku authorized imports of heat-treated poultry, beef, lamb, goat, and other processed products, Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock announced.
The decision was confirmed in an official notification from Azerbaijan’s Food Safety Agency (AFSA) during talks with Brazilian Agriculture Minister Carlos Fávaro, alongside secretaries Luis Renato Rua (international relations) and Carlos Goulart (agricultural protection), and their technical teams.
“With the launch of production of heat-treated products, Brazil expects a gradual recovery of its presence in the Azerbaijani market with goods that meet local requirements and rising consumer demand,” the ministry said.
The move is expected to strengthen trade ties and diversify food supply in Azerbaijan, while giving Brazilian exporters renewed access to a fast-growing consumer base in the South Caucasus.
