A trilateral meeting of government representatives from Azerbaijan, Russia, and Iran will be held in Baku on October 13–14, the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers confirmed in response to a request from Report.
The Azerbaijani delegation will be led by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, while the Russian side will be represented by Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk. Iran’s delegation will be headed by Minister of Transport and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadighi.
According to officials, the agenda of the Baku meeting will cover transport and logistics, energy cooperation, and customs issues.
The trilateral format has been seen as an important platform for strengthening regional connectivity and developing major infrastructure projects linking the South Caucasus with Russia, Iran, and beyond.
