Azerbaijan has expressed appreciation to the United Kingdom for its consistent support of the peace and normalization process between Baku and Yerevan.
In a post on social media platform X, Azerbaijani Ambassador to London Elin Suleymanov highlighted his meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper and Minister for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty on the sidelines of the Labour Party conference in Liverpool.
“The strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom opens new opportunities for our entire region, the South Caucasus,” Suleymanov noted.
The ambassador’s remarks underline Baku’s growing engagement with London at a time when the UK has been one of the European states backing post-conflict reconciliation efforts in the region.
