Baku, October 1, 2025

Azerbaijan is developing a digital transport and logistics system for the Middle Corridor based on the “single window” principle, designed to streamline services for both clients and government agencies.

The initiative was announced by Fariz Aliyev, head of the transport policy department at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, during the Second Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW-2025).

According to Aliyev, the platform will integrate all state information systems, allowing users to access services directly and eliminating unnecessary bureaucracy.

“We are not seeking costly IT systems or applications. Instead, by creating this platform, we are revising the processes themselves, removing duplication and transferring them into a digital environment,” he said.

Pioneering Digitalization in Regional Transport

Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan is among the pioneers of digitalizing transport operations along the Middle Corridor, officially known as the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).

The Middle Corridor stretches from China through Kazakhstan, across the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan and Georgia, and onward to Europe. It is increasingly seen as an alternative trade route amid shifting global supply chains and geopolitical realignments.
