Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations will conduct a comprehensive hydrogeological and landslide risk assessment in the area surrounding Baku’s iconic Flame Towers complex.
According to information reported by Report, the State Agency for Construction Safety has begun preparatory work for the study. The assessment will be carried out under the supervision of the Agency’s Unified Directorate of Construction Projects.
As part of the project, the ministry plans to acquire specialized monitoring equipment from the Japanese company Shinyei Kaisha, valued at 61,800 manats.
The devices will be used to analyze ground stability, detect potential landslide movements, and assess geological conditions in the area – one of the most sensitive elevated zones of the capital.
The findings of the study are expected to guide future safety measures and long-term urban planning around one of Baku’s most recognizable architectural landmarks.
