Azerbaijan’s multi-stage cycling event “Baku–Khankendi” will take place from May 10 to 14, 2026, according to the official race calendar of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) for the 2026 season.
The five-stage race has been classified as a UCI 2.1 category event – a prestigious level that attracts professional teams from around the world and contributes to the UCI points ranking system.
The route will showcase Azerbaijan’s diverse landscapes, linking its major cities and historic regions across the country:
Stage 1: Baku – Sumgayit
Stage 2: Baku – Shamakhi – Ismayilli
Stage 3: Gabala – Sheki – Gabala
Stage 4: Gabala – Mingachevir – Ganja
Stage 5: Naftalan – Fuzuli – Shusha – Khankendi
The “Baku–Khankendi” tour highlights Azerbaijan’s growing role in international cycling and symbolizes the country’s post-war revival and regional connectivity through sport.
