The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Russia have conducted another round of political consultations in Baku, the Azerbaijani MFA reported.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov, while Russia was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.
According to the MFA, the two sides held a broad exchange of views on the current state of bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Both delegations emphasized that the agreements reached during the meeting between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia on October 9 in Dushanbe form the foundation of the ongoing political dialogue between the two countries.
The consultations also covered prospects for further cooperation in economic, trade, humanitarian, and other areas. In addition, the sides discussed collaboration within regional platforms.
Azerbaijan provided the Russian side with detailed information regarding the ongoing normalization process between Baku and Yerevan.
