Baku and Rome Reinforce Strategic Partnership at High-Level Meetings

Azerbaijan and Italy held an in-depth exchange of views across multiple areas of bilateral cooperation, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said following a series of high-level meetings in Rome.

In a post on X, Bayramov said he was “pleased to hold a constructive and sincere working dinner” with his Italian counterparts during his visit to the Italian capital.

“We exchanged views on the dynamic development of our strategic partnership, including cooperation in energy, the economy, connectivity, culture, education, and on multilateral platforms,” he wrote.

Bayramov thanked “Italian friends for the substantive dialogue.”

During the same visit, Azerbaijan’s foreign minister also met with the President of the Italian Senate, Ignazio La Russa.

Bayramov said the meeting highlighted the “critical role of high-level reciprocal visits and ongoing political dialogue” in the continued expansion of bilateral relations between the two countries.

He underscored the “exceptional importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation – both bilaterally and within international and regional parliamentary platforms.”
