Azerbaijan and Turkey continue to strengthen their political and economic partnership, reaffirming their commitment to mutual support and regional cooperation.
Speaking at an event in Baku marking Turkey’s Democracy and National Unity Day, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov highlighted the depth of ties between the two nations.
“Turkey and Azerbaijan have always supported each other—and will continue to do so. The Shusha Declaration has further solidified our strategic alliance,” Sharifov stated.
He noted that this year alone, President Ilham Aliyev has made three visits to Turkey, while Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has visited Azerbaijan, reflecting the intensity of bilateral engagement.
Sharifov also pointed to major joint projects in energy and logistics that are reshaping the region’s geopolitical landscape. “These initiatives are not only strengthening our economic ties but also transforming the strategic balance in the South Caucasus,” he said.
The remarks underscore the enduring bond between the two allied nations, whose cooperation spans infrastructure, defense, energy, and diplomacy.
