Azerbaijan’s women’s 3×3 basketball team has stormed into the quarterfinals of the FIBA 3×3 World Series stop in Bucharest, Romania, following a dramatic 21–20 victory over Ukraine in the final group stage match.
The win secured Azerbaijan the top spot in Group C, setting up a high-stakes quarterfinal clash with powerhouse China. The match is scheduled for July 13 at 18:50 Baku time.
Azerbaijan has been dominant throughout the group stage. The team opened with a commanding 22–10 win over Singapore, followed by impressive victories over Japan’s Tsukuba (21–10) and Switzerland’s Lausanne (21–11).
