BAKU, July 31 — Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR is expanding its footprint in the non-oil sector, earning $211.6 million from non-oil exports in the first six months of 2025 — a 13.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The figures were published in the July edition of the Export Review by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
The data reflects a broader trend in Azerbaijan’s economy. National non-oil exports in the first half of the year reached $1.8 billion, marking a 9.9% year-on-year growth. The government continues to emphasize diversification, aiming to reduce reliance on hydrocarbons by boosting exports of petrochemicals, fertilizers, metals, food products, and other value-added goods.
SOCAR’s performance in the non-oil segment — which includes products such as urea, methanol, and polymers — is seen as a key contributor to that diversification strategy.
