Azerbaijan’s Population Grows to Over 10.2 Million

Azerbaijan’s population has grown by 24,611 people, or 0.24 percent, since the beginning of the year, reaching 10,249,500 as of September 1, according to the State Statistics Committee.

The report notes that 54.4% of the population lives in urban areas, while 45.6% resides in rural regions.

Men account for 49.8% of the total population and women 50.2%.
