BAKU, July 24
Azerbaijan’s insurance sector saw steady growth in the first half of 2025, with total premiums collected by 16 licensed insurance companies reaching 817.05 million manats, according to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
This marks a 12.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Payouts also rose sharply. Insurance companies disbursed a total of 432.2 million manats in claims from January to June — up 21.2% year-on-year.
The claims ratio climbed slightly: for every 100 manats collected in premiums, companies paid out 52.9 manats in claims, compared to 49.2 manats during the same period last year.
