BAKU, July 31 — Azerbaijan exported $144 million worth of gold in the first six months of 2025, marking a 2.5-fold increase compared to the same period last year, according to the July edition of the “Export Review” published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
The growth was especially notable in June, when gold exports reached $22.97 million — up 81.4% year-on-year.
The gold sector’s strong performance contributed to the overall rise in Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports, which totaled $1.8 billion for January–June, reflecting a 9.9% increase over the first half of 2024.
The figures underscore Azerbaijan’s ongoing efforts to diversify its export portfolio and reduce dependence on oil revenues.
