Budapest, July 18, 2025 — Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers added three more medals to their tally on the second day of the ongoing international ranking tournament in Budapest, Hungary.

According to Idman.biz, Arseniy Dzhioyev (86 kg) claimed the gold medal after his opponent failed to show up for the final bout.

Magomedbashir Khaniev (74 kg) took silver after falling short in the championship match, while Abubakr Abakarov (92 kg) earned bronze in similar fashion to Dzhioyev—his opponent also forfeited the decisive match.

This follows a strong showing by the Azerbaijani team on Thursday, when Islam Bazarganov (57 kg) and Ali Raghimzade (65 kg) each secured silver medals.
