Azerbaijan’s Ali Nazarov (60 kg) claimed gold at the U17 Greco-Roman World Championships held in Athens, Greece, defeating Kyrgyz wrestler Amangeldi Isakbayev 6–1 in the final.
Team Azerbaijan ended the competition with three medals: one gold, one silver, and one bronze, earning 100 points to finish joint 4th-5th with Kyrgyzstan in the team standings.
Hikmat Hagverdiyev (51 kg) won silver after a 1–4 loss to Uzbekistan’s Otabek Tursunov, while Abdurrahman Huseynli (45 kg) took bronze, beating Ukrainian Timur Maharramov 9–0.
