A team from Baku State University’s SSTCC has taken first prize at TEKNOFEST-2025, the international aerospace and technology festival held in Istanbul.
The event drew an extraordinary 565,776 teams from 96 countries, highlighting its global scale. Competing in the “Barrier-Free Life Technologies” category, the BSU team secured the top spot with their innovative project “NeuroScreen.”
The system is designed to empower paralyzed patients by enabling them to control smart home devices, digital tools, and robotic limbs directly through brain signals. Beyond accessibility, NeuroScreen integrates AI-powered health monitoring, providing real-time assessments of a patient’s condition.
Festival organizers praised the project as a milestone in merging neuroscience, assistive technology, and artificial intelligence for medical use.
