BAKU, July 21 — Azerbaijani marksman Ruslan Lunev has clinched two silver medals at the 5th Ranno Krust Memorial and the Lapua European Cup, prestigious shooting events held under the European Shooting Confederation in Tallinn, Estonia.
The Azerbaijan Shooting Federation confirmed Lunev’s success in a statement on Sunday.
On the opening day, Lunev delivered a standout performance in the 25-meter rapid-fire pistol discipline, outshooting several top European competitors to secure second place and earn the silver medal for Team Azerbaijan.
His second silver came in the individual 25-meter precision shooting event, where Lunev recorded an impressive score of 581 points, including 23 inner 10s — a mark of precision that underscored his elite status in the sport.
Lunev’s double podium finish is being celebrated as a major achievement for Azerbaijani sport, further boosting the country’s profile in international shooting competitions.
