Azerbaijan’s rhythmic gymnastics team has claimed the gold medal in the group event at the 32nd Summer World University Games held in Germany.
The team — made up of Elizaveta Luzan, Darya Sorokina, Kamilla Aliyeva, Laman Alimuradova, and Gyullu Agalarzade — delivered a standout performance with three balls and two hoops, scoring 26.350 points in the routine and finishing with a total score of 50.500 to secure first place.
This marks Azerbaijan’s first medal at this edition of the Games, and notably, the first-ever team victory for Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnasts in the history of the Universiade.
