BAKU, July 18 — FIFA referee Elchin Masiyev of Azerbaijan has been appointed to officiate a UEFA Champions League second qualifying round match between Croatia’s Rijeka and Bulgaria’s Ludogorets.
According to Oxu.az, Masiyev will serve as the main referee for the first-leg clash, scheduled for July 23 at Rijeka’s home stadium.
He will be assisted on the field by Elshad Abdullayev and Parvin Talibov, while Farid Hajiev will serve as the fourth official. Italian referee Gianluca Aureliano has been assigned to oversee the VAR operations, with Azerbaijan’s Aliyar Aghayev acting as the assistant VAR (AVAR).
