Azerbaijan’s Paralympic athletes clinched two more gold medals at the International Boccia Tournament among Turkic States, held in Aktau, Kazakhstan, strengthening their dominance in the competition.
According to İdman.Biz, the duo of Zaur Veysalov and Gunel Rzazade triumphed in the BC4 category, while the trio of Nariman Pirguliyev, Orkhan Karimov, and Sona Agayeva captured gold in the mixed BC1–BC2 categories, defeating strong teams from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Earlier in the tournament, Pirguliyev (BC1), Karimov (BC2), Veysalov (BC4), Agayeva (BC2), and Rzazade (BC4) had each claimed individual gold medals, with Bakhruz Mirzoyev (BC4) securing silver.
With their latest victories, the Azerbaijani team finished first overall in the team standings, capping off a stellar performance that showcased both skill and unity across all categories.
