Azerbaijani mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Mirmakhmud Seidzade, currently based in the United States, claimed victory at the 209 Beatdown tournament in Stockton, California.
The State Committee on Work with the Diaspora reported that Seidzade — an active member of the Azerbaijani community in California — showcased composure, precision, and technical superiority to defeat his opponent.
After the fight, proudly raising Azerbaijan’s tricolor flag, Seidzade dedicated his victory both to his homeland and to the people who have supported him.
In addition to his sports career, Seidzade is a law student at San Jose State University and a graduate of the world-renowned American Kickboxing Academy — the same gym that has produced MMA legends such as Khabib Nurmagomedov, Daniel Cormier, and Cain Velasquez.
