Azerbaijani Kickboxers Shine in Tashkent, Take 25 Medals at World Cup

Azerbaijani kickboxers delivered an impressive performance at the World Cup in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, bringing home a total of eight gold, eight silver, and nine bronze medals, Report said.

Gold medals were claimed by Allahverdi Demirov (K1, 51 kg), Elvin Mammadov (LK, 57 kg), Magomed Imanov (K1, 60 kg), Gasham Mammadov (LK, 81 kg), Rafig Babazade (K1, 57 kg), Ali Mayilzade (LK, 57 kg), Ali Akbar (K1, +81 kg) and Elmuraz Musayev (LC, 74 kg).

Silver went to Rufat Ahmadzade (LK, 63.5 kg), Mirzajan Aliyev (LK, 60 kg), Ryavan Yaraliyev (LK, 81 kg), Elnar Hajiev (LK, 51 kg), Aylin Huseynzade (KL & LC, 42 kg), Ali Jabbarzade (LC, 57 kg), Elmir Mirzaliyev (KL, 69 kg) and Seymur Guliyev (KL, 42 kg).

Bronze medals were earned by Farhad Taghizade (FC, 51 kg), Khabib Akbarov (LK, 86 kg), Kenan Mammadli (LK, 67 kg), Elmir Mirzaliyev (LC, 69 kg), Ramiz Mammadov (FC, 57 kg), Ali Garayev (LC, 69 kg), Allahverdi Hajiev (LK, 81 kg), Ibrahim Guliyev (FC, 81 kg) and Gurban Valiyev (LK, 67 kg).

With more than two dozen podium finishes across several weight categories, the Azerbaijani national team reaffirmed its place among the elite of world kickboxing.
