Azerbaijani Judoka Wins Bronze at EYOF 2025

Skopje, July 24 — Azerbaijan’s judo team has added another medal to its tally at the 18th edition of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF 2025), currently underway in the North Macedonian capital of Skopje.

According to Report, judoka Muhammed Agakishiyev, competing in the 73 kg weight category, secured the bronze medal after defeating Alexander Aleinikov (representing the Belarus Olympic Committee) with an ippon in the third-place match.

Earlier in the competition, Azerbaijani judokas have already claimed multiple medals:

  • Gold: Gulshan Guseynova (44 kg), Rza Khalilli (50 kg), and Rasul Alizade (55 kg)

  • Silver: Nurane Hajizade (48 kg) and Zeyd Aleskerov (60 kg)

  • Bronze: Aysun Mammadova (52 kg)

With a total of seven medals — 3 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze — Team Azerbaijan continues to lead the overall medal standings at EYOF 2025.
