Premium gasoline imported from Azerbaijan will be sold in Armenia for 440 drams per liter, which local reports translate to roughly $1.10 or about 1.9 manats – notably cheaper than the current Armenian market level.
Karen Ayrian, director of Mega Trade, said Azerbaijani-produced AI-95 will be offered at 440 drams, compared to around 520 drams on the Armenian market (roughly $1.30, or about 2.25 manats by comparison). He said the company has already purchased about 600 tons of fuel.
Armenian media also reported that a total of 1,220 tons of AI-95 gasoline has been delivered from Azerbaijan to Armenia via Georgia. The fuel was produced at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery and transported in 22 railway tank cars, according to the reports.
Sales in Armenia are expected to be carried out through the Ran Oil network of fuel stations.
For comparison, the retail price of AI-95 gasoline in Azerbaijan currently stands at 1.6 manats per liter.
