Baku, July 9 — Azerbaijani MMA fighter Tofiq Musayev is set to step back into the octagon for his next UFC bout on October 5, as part of an upcoming event in Las Vegas.
Musayev confirmed the news directly to Oxu.az, following his previous appearance at UFC Fight Night in Baku, where he competed in front of a home crowd.
The 34-year-old lightweight previously signed a four-fight contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), one of the sport’s premier promotions. The October fight will mark his second appearance under that deal.
Musayev is regarded as one of Azerbaijan’s top MMA athletes and has built a strong international reputation with previous stints in Bellator and RIZIN Fighting Federation, where he held the lightweight Grand Prix title.
Further details on Musayev’s opponent and the fight card are expected to be announced by the UFC in the coming weeks.
