Both ministers highlighted the rapid growth in ties following the launch of direct flights between Baku and Malé last year, which opened new tourism opportunities and strengthened people-to-people connections.

The newly signed “Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption for Holders of Ordinary Passports” will allow citizens of both countries to travel without visas, further encouraging tourism, business, and cultural exchange.

Officials also discussed expanding cooperation at the political level and holding regular consultations to deepen bilateral engagement.
