The prestigious Fujairah International Chess Festival has kicked off in the UAE, drawing players from 71 countries.
Representing Azerbaijan in the main event are rising stars Aydin Suleymanli and Magomed Muradli, both making waves on the international stage, Oxu.Az reports.

In the Masters category, five more Azerbaijani players are competing: Rashad Samedov, Khagan Ahmed, Shiroglan Talibov, Suleyman Suleymanli, and Revan Uguzov.
The Open tournament features Lala Guseynova, one of Azerbaijan’s leading female players, along with Muhammed Bagirov, Emil Mekhraliyev, and Yashar Shirinov.
The festival boasts a prize pool of $125,000 and will run until September 1, when winners in all sections will be announced.
