Three Azerbaijani boxers have reached the finals of the European U-15 Boxing Championship held in Budva, Montenegro, according to Report.
Nurlan Museibli (66 kg) defeated Arda Fidan of Turkey with a clear 5:0 victory (30:27, 29:28, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27), marking his third consecutive appearance in a European final. The reigning continental champion will now face Evander Dickinson from England for the title.
Yusif Agakishiev (75 kg) continued his dominant run, stopping Oleksandr Tomich of Ukraine in the second round, after winning his quarterfinal in just 45 seconds. He will fight Thomas O’Reilly from Ireland in the final.
Mehrang Rasulov (80 kg) overpowered Valeri Todorov of Bulgaria, winning by technical superiority in the second round after taking the first with confidence. Rasulov’s final opponent will be Sergiy Kotovsky of Ukraine.
Other Azerbaijani boxers – Onur Gurbanov (42 kg), Eljan Musazade (50 kg), and Erdem Tekin (90 kg) – claimed bronze medals at the European Championships.
The finals will also feature Nasrin Abdullazade (40 kg), who will meet Madeline Laverick-Arnott of England, and Humar Jafarli (75 kg), who will face Yagmur Eryurt of Turkey.
