EDIRNE, Turkey, July 20 — Azerbaijani athlete Shamil Hajizadeh has claimed the gold medal at the 8th Balkan-Eurasian Open Wushu-Sanda Cup held in Edirne, Turkey.
Competing in the under-80 kg weight category, Hajizadeh secured the top spot on the podium after defeating two Turkish opponents.
The tournament brought together martial artists from across the region, showcasing high-level competition in the traditional Chinese combat sport.
