Azerbaijani actor Eldar Iskenderov has joined the cast of Reenactment, a new feature film directed by acclaimed American filmmaker Grant Singer.
According to Oxu.Az, Iskenderov will appear alongside an A-list lineup that includes Benicio Del Toro, Cameron Diaz, and Ana de Armas.
Details about the film’s plot – as well as Iskenderov’s role – remain tightly under wraps, a common practice for major Hollywood productions.
The project reunites Del Toro with Singer and Black Label Media, the studio behind several high-profile American films.
Iskenderov, who was born in Azerbaijan and raised in the Netherlands and Belgium, is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design. Reenactment marks the actor’s third feature film this year.
Earlier in 2025, he landed roles in:
an untitled musical comedy by Jesse Eisenberg for A24 and Fruit Tree,
and Club Kid, the directorial debut of filmmaker Jordan Firstman, produced by Topic Studios.
For Azerbaijan’s growing creative community, Iskenderov’s Hollywood trajectory is seen as another milestone – and a sign of increasing global visibility for Azerbaijani talent.
