Azerbaijani athletes have won more medals at the 3rd CIS Games than in the previous two editions combined, according to Report.
Team Azerbaijan claimed a total of 184 medals – 33 gold, 56 silver, and 95 bronze — securing second place in the overall medal standings.
At the 1st CIS Games held in Kazan (Russia) in 2021, Azerbaijani athletes earned 60 medals (15 gold, 16 silver, 29 bronze), finishing fourth overall.
At the 2nd Games in Minsk (Belarus) in 2023, they collected 62 medals (10 gold, 17 silver, 35 bronze), again ranking fourth.
The 3rd CIS Games took place from September 28 to October 8, 2025, across seven Azerbaijani cities – Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, and Khankendi – with 340 Azerbaijani athletes participating.
