The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan has released its latest ranking of national team members competing in Olympic disciplines.
Leading the August 2025 chart is judoka Zelim Tckaev, who tops the list with 330 points. Fellow national team judokas Zelim Kotsoev and Eljan Hajiyev secured the second and third positions, respectively.
Other notable athletes in the top rankings include Rashid Mamedaliyev (judo), Ushangi Kokauri (judo), Nikita Simonov (men’s artistic gymnastics), Gurban Gurbanov (Greco-Roman wrestling), Georgi Meshvildishvili (freestyle wrestling), Khasrat Jafarov (Greco-Roman wrestling), and Nihat Mammadli (Greco-Roman wrestling).
The updated list highlights the continued dominance of judo and wrestling in Azerbaijan’s Olympic sports landscape.
