Azerbaijan U-18 Squad to Play Friendly Matches Against Uzbekistan in Tashkent

Azerbaijan’s U-18 national football team will travel to Tashkent in October for a series of friendly matches against their Uzbek counterparts, local sports media in Uzbekistan have confirmed.

As part of a planned training camp in the Uzbek capital, the Azerbaijani side is scheduled to face the Uzbekistan U-18 team in two friendlies on October 9 and 12.

The trip is part of Azerbaijan’s broader youth development agenda and comes amid growing football ties between the two countries. Notably, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan recently submitted a joint bid to FIFA to host the 2027 U-20 World Cup.
