Azerbaijan will host the 2026 European Team Badminton Championships, one of the first major sporting events on the continent’s calendar next year.
According to Idman.biz, the tournament will take place from February 1 to February 15 and will feature men’s and women’s national teams competing for the European team title.
A total of eight men’s teams and eight women’s teams have qualified for the championships. Following the official draw, the teams have been divided into groups ahead of the competition.
The event will bring together Europe’s strongest badminton nations and is expected to serve as a key platform for continental badminton at the start of the 2026 sporting season.
Hosting the championships underscores Azerbaijan’s continued role as a venue for international sporting events and its growing presence on the European sports map.
