Azerbaijan, Oklahoma National Guard Deepen Military and Cyber Cooperation

A delegation from the Oklahoma National Guard visited Azerbaijan from November 4–6, reaffirming more than two decades of defense cooperation under the U.S. State Partnership Program.

According to a statement shared by the U.S. Embassy in Baku, the visit aimed to further develop bilateral ties and strengthen the enduring partnership between the two sides, which has been in place since 2002.

The delegation’s meetings focused on advancing collaboration in cyber defense, medical readiness, disaster response, and professional military education.

The embassy noted that the long-standing Oklahoma–Azerbaijan partnership continues to serve as a model of how sustained defense cooperation can contribute to regional security and mutual trust.

“This partnership, built over more than 20 years, underscores the shared commitment of both nations to peace, stability, and cooperation,” the embassy said in its statement.
