BAKU — The Azerbaijan Handball Federation has officially announced the clubs that will represent the country in the upcoming European club competitions.
According to the federation, two men’s and two women’s teams will take part in the European Cup tournaments for the 2024–2025 season.
In the men’s category, national champions “Kür” and silver medalists “Bakı” have secured their places in the continental championship. Both teams have been granted a bye to the second round of the European Cup. A total of 55 teams will compete at this stage, alongside 9 first-round qualifiers. The winners will move forward to the Round of 32.
The second-round matches for men’s teams are scheduled for October 11–12 (first leg) and October 18–19 (second leg).
On the women’s side, reigning national champions “Azəryol” and bronze medalists “Kür” will compete. All participating teams will enter the competition from the second round, which features 50 clubs. Seven additional clubs, ranked higher in Europe, will begin their campaigns in the third round.
Women’s second-round fixtures are set for September 27–28 (first leg) and October 4–5 (second leg).
