Azerbaijan has invited governments, cities, and experts worldwide to take part in the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will be held in Baku from May 18–22, 2026, climate envoy Mukhtar Babayev said at the 4th Azerbaijan–Turkey Energy Forum in Izmir.
Babayev framed the forum as a platform to forge new partnerships around sustainable urbanization, adding that Baku plans to showcase practical, energy-efficient solutions for construction and city development, Report informs.
“This is a chance to create new opportunities for cooperation,” he said, urging broad international attendance.
Organizers in Baku say the event will spotlight urban resilience, clean energy in the built environment, and scalable models cities can adopt to cut emissions while improving quality of life.
