Azerbaijan has held discussions with NVIDIA on potential cooperation to introduce advanced technologies in strategic sectors and modernize public services, according to the country’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev.
In a post on social media platform X, Nabiyev said the talks took place during his visit to the United States, where he met with Calista Redmond, NVIDIA’s Vice President for Global AI Initiatives.
The discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and NVIDIA in the development of sovereign national artificial intelligence platforms, as well as the modernization of government services based on high-performance computing capabilities.
“We also exchanged views on the key components and stakeholders of the sovereign AI ecosystem, the development of startups, workforce training in the field of artificial intelligence, and joint initiatives to apply NVIDIA technologies in strategic areas,” Nabiyev wrote.
The talks reflect Azerbaijan’s broader efforts to expand the use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in public administration, innovation, and critical sectors of the economy.
