Azerbaijan exported 16.99 million tons of crude oil to 20 countries between January and September 2025, according to the State Customs Committee.
The top five destinations for Azerbaijani oil were Italy, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, and Romania.
During the reporting period, exports to Italy reached 9.59 million tons worth $4.99 billion, up 45.8% in volume and 19.9% in value year-on-year.
Shipments to the Czech Republic totaled 1.31 million tons worth $701 million, while Croatia received 998,000 tons valued at $538 million. Germany imported 842,000 tons ($445 million), and Romania – 779,000 tons ($429 million).
Other key destinations included Portugal, Greece, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Tunisia, France, Thailand, Indonesia, Turkey, Switzerland, India, Denmark, Bulgaria, and Austria.
Overall, Azerbaijan’s total oil exports for the nine-month period declined 3.5% by volume and 18.8% by value compared with the same period of 2024.
